About Nicholas Bangos

Nicholas B. Bangos is an attorney with extensive jury trial, non-jury trial and appellate experience.  
 
Nick is a South Florida native and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1990 and the Alabama Bar in 1993. Nick served as an Assistant State Attorney from 1990-92 and was a law clerk to the Honorable Arthur B. Briskman, United States Bankruptcy Judge, from 1989-90 and 1992-93. Since 1992, Nick’s practice has been devoted to bankruptcy and commercial law.    Nick is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Florida and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.     
 
Nick has counseled every constituency in bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings. A substantial portion of Nick's practice has been devoted to the representation of debtors-in-possession in complex business bankruptcy cases.  These cases have required creative problem solving skills in crisis and turnaround management and the drafting of various transactional documents associated with common and complex legal issues and relationships in time sensitive projects where precision remains paramount.   In addition, Nick has been involved in numerous proceedings involving complex exemption, fraudulent transfer and various other state and federal, nonbankruptcy law claims. 

Nick’s clients have included parties engaged in commerce in the airline, financial services, franchise, health care, hospitality and tourism, intellectual property and technology, manufacturing, maritime, real estate, telecommunications and transportation industries. Nick has also lectured on bankruptcy law and creditors rights. Nick is involved in the community through a variety of activities, chief among which is volunteerism. Nick is an avid outdoorsman and amateur photographer. Nick is an Attorney ad Litem through the Lawyers for Children of America program. Nick is also a member of the board of directors for the Good Hope Equestrian Training Center, a 501(c)(3) organization that uses the equine environment to provide disabled individuals activities that provide opportunities to increase their independence and quality of life.
